A well-established company in the ICT and office solutions industry is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join their Gauteng branch. The organisation has a national footprint with branches in Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal, and Cape Town, and services clients across both public and private sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with a strong understanding of government procurement processes and experience in IT hardware, software, and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively market the company’s products and solutions, building strong brand awareness.
- Provide clients with regular updates on new and existing products and services.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts while identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Grow market share within both the public and private sectors.
- Assist with setting up deal registrations and related documentation.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
- Provide weekly sales reports to management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) or higher qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience within the Public Sector, specifically working with government agencies. (This is essential.)
- Solid understanding of the government supply chain and procurement process.
- Technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas is required:
- IT Hardware & Software
- Office Furniture
- Computer Consumables
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Target-driven, solutions-focused, and self-motivated.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Demonstrated ability to close sales effectively.
