About the Role

We are looking for a confident and engaging Student Advisor to join a respected technical training and development organisation in Johannesburg. This role is about more than just enrolments—it’s about inspiring young people to pursue technical careers and helping corporates, particularly in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, to upskill their staff through accredited formal training programmes. If you’re persuasive, professional, and passionate about education, this is the opportunity to make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Engage with corporates to secure sponsorships, bursary partnerships, and workforce training opportunities.
  • Promote accredited technical study programmes to schools, students, and parents, highlighting career pathways and industry relevance.
  • Represent the institution at career expos, open days, school visits, and corporate information sessions.
  • Provide professional guidance and advisory services to students, parents, and HR/training managers, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with all stakeholders to ensure consistent enrolment growth.

Who You Are

  • Hold a degree (preferred) or have strong proven experience in student advisory/education sales.
  • Previous experience as a Student Advisor or in a similar higher education sales/advisory role.
  • A technical mindset or background—able to grasp and communicate the value of engineering and industrial qualifications.
  • Polished, articulate, and persuasive communicator, confident when engaging with learners, parents, educators, and corporate executives.
  • Energetic, engaging, and forward-looking, with the ability to inspire confidence and spark interest.
  • Naturally strong in relationship-building, influencing, and consultative selling.

Why This Opportunity?

This is a role that bridges education and industry. You’ll be shaping the futures of young professionals while also helping corporates in the manufacturing and industrial space to upskill their workforce through formal technical training. It’s a chance to work with an organisation that combines academic credibility with industry-driven relevance—making a measurable impact on skills development in South Africa.

Ready to Inspire?

If you’re a persuasive, opportunity-driven professional with a passion for education and the confidence to engage schools, students, and corporates alike—then we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and let’s talk about how you can help shape the future of technical skills development in South Africa.
